BIB Underwriters are pleased to announce the appointment of a new claims manager with a vast wealth of experience in the industry.

Andrew Notman has taken up the role where he leads a highly-skilled team delivering a range of services to customers throughout the country.

BiBU are delighted to have forged a reputation over the past 20-plus years for providing specialist insurance solutions to brokers and intermediaries, with particular expertise in farm and countryside issues.

Andrew, aged 44, of Guisborough, East Cleveland, began his career with Iron Trades Insurance and spent 21 years there, working his way through the ranks to become claims team leader.

After the firm was acquired by Australian giant QBE, Andrew went on to have spells with the claims department of Zurich and in commercial broking with a large broker in the Tees Valley, before coming to join BIB Underwriters.

He said of his new role: “I will be working predominantly in countryside risks, covering the whole of the country and I am looking forward to the challenge immensely.

“I am joining what is already a strong and experienced team, and we will be looking to maintain its extremely high standards.

“My role will be dealing with technical claims and helping to cement the excellent relationships that BiBU has developed over the years.”
